Phonak Paradise Hearing Aids

Phonak launched their latest hearing aid range which they call Paradise in August 2020. As is normal with Phonak, the first hearing aid styles to be launched will be the Audeo (Receiver In Canal) range. During 2021 we expect them to introduce both BTE and ITE hearing aids to the range.

The Phonak Marvel range proved to be one of their most successful range of hearing aids for good reason. They were and still are fantastic hearing aids with some outstanding features. With Paradise, Phonak chose to build upon the functionality of the Marvel platform by enhancing some abilities and introducing new ones. They have delivered a brand new computer chip (PRISM), with brand new features, a motion sensor, increased connectivity, and a brand new sound all go to make the Phonak Paradise the best they have ever produced.

Four Technology Levels

The Paradise range is available in four technology levels, the premium 90, the 70, the 50 and the 30 levels. Not all levels of technology, nor every hearing aid will have some of the features and abilities. For instance, only the rechargeable models can use the new motion sensor.

Motion Sensor Hearing

Some of the new Paradise range will be equipped with motion sensors which will power some of the new features. It will only be available on the rechargeable hearing aids and only in the 90, 70 and 50 level of technology. The motion sensors are used to help the hearing aids understand if you are in motion. If you are in motion and having a conversation with someone, the aids understand that and change how they work to help you hear them better.

Two Active Bluetooth® Connections

The Paradise models builds upon the Marvel Bluetooth® features with increased and in-depth Bluetooth® connectivity which offers an active connection to two Bluetooth® devices. That means if you carry two phones, or if you use a phone and a tablet, the aids will automatically switch their audio streaming between both.

Tap Control

The new Tap Control feature is powered by the motion sensors, so it is only available with the rechargeable devices at the 90 and 70 level of technology. It allows users to activate popular voice assistants, answer or reject calls, or even pause or resume audio streaming by simply tapping on their ear.

A Whole New Sound

The Audéo Paradise hearing aid range is the first hearing aid range to benefit from Sonova’s new sound processing chip, PRISM (Processing Real-time Intelligent Sound Management). They have used the new more powerful chip to improve upon their sound features and changed the proprietary prescription that Phonak uses to help you hear better.

They have also introduced a new speech enhancer feature that boosts soft speech in quiet sound environments. It should allow you to hear softer voices much easier in those sedate environments. Soft voices over distance should be enhanced by the new speech enhancer feature as well.

Four New Aids

The Audeo Paradise range is made up of four Audeo hearing aids, two rechargeable hearing aids and two traditionally powered hearing aids. It is important to note that only the rechargeable devices have the new motion sensor feature and also the tap control feature and only at certain levels of technology. The new PRISM chip also allows the speakers in the Audeo range to be a little bit more powerful meaning they will cover more hearing losses than ever.

Phonak Marvel Hearing Aids

Phonak introduced Marvel in late 2018. Initially they introduced a full range of Receiver In Canal Made For Any Phone hearing aids initially. However, they followed up with both Bolero, which is their Behind The Ear hearing aid range, Virto, which is their In The Ear hearing aids and Naida, which is their superpower hearing aid range. Marvel is offered in the usual four levels of technology, the Marvel 90, 70, 50 and 30. 

Made For Any Phone  

Phonak chose to use the traditional Bluetooth® connection protocol which gives them a direct connection to any mobile phone. It means that any hearing aid they produced would be technically able to connect to any Bluetooth® enabled device, not just phones. Marvel will connect to most Bluetooth® enabled cell phones, TVs, Tablets and computers.

Bolero Marvel Range

The Bolero Marvel range is the latest range of Behind The Ear hearing aids from Phonak. It consists of just two hearing aid models, The Bolero Marvel M and the Bolero Marvel PR. Both devices really only cover hearing losses up to moderate to severe.

Virto Marvel Hearing Aids

Phonak have now introduced the full range of their new Virto M in the ear products. The range will include a Marvel Titanium, two Marvel CIC devices, one with a size 10 battery and the other with a size 312, a Bluetooth® enabled In The Canal/Half Shell model powered by a 312 battery and the Virto Black, basically the same as the 312 In The Canal/Half Shell model but with a black case.

Only the Virto Black and the Virto 312 In The Canal/Half Shell device will have the full Marvel functionality including the amazing connectivity. The other devices will not have connectivity.

Naida Marvel

Phonak announced the launch of the new Naida Marvel range in January 2020. The Naida Marvel range is made up of just one super power Behind The Ear hearing aid that is powered by a size 13 battery.
